Any taxes that have gone delinquent for more than 3 years and 9 months are abstracted for ownership, mortgage holder, and tax deed notices are sent, processed and foreclosed upon. These are then later sold to the former owner or to the general pubic at a land sale. This process is outlined in Ordinance No. 286-1996 A Collection of Delinquent Taxes. |
