Description
The Emergency Management office provides the following specific services to the public:
Participate in presentations to schools, non-profit organizations, churches, service clubs and community forums to provide up-to-date information on personal and community emergency preparedness.
Information depository for the Local Emergency Planning Committee for the Federal Mandate of the Superfund Amendment and Reauthorization Act of 1987. Providing current "Community -Right-to-Know and Emergency Planning Act" information on extremely hazardous substances used in the county through commercial businesses.
Provide Federal Emergency Management Agency Emergency booklets, fact sheets, brochures on a variety of hazards including (flooding, tornadoes, winter storms) free of charge to those interested in obtaining additional information in preparing themselves for risks in their communities.
