Mission Statement
To serve and assist the Circuit Court System of Oconto County and the public in the best and most efficient way humanly possible every day.
Description
The Purpose of the Clerk of Courts office is to be the keeper of all court records that involve the following (but not limited to): family, civil, criminal, paternity, traffic, conservation, small claims, transcript and group judgments, tax liens, passports and jury management. This office is completely automated with CCAP (Circuit Court Automation Project). The Clerk of Courts office disburses all funds generated from fines, costs and filing fees, answers all incoming phone calls. In addition, we have regular contact with the District Attorney office, Circuit Judges, Family Court Commissioner, Probation, Probate, Sheriff, Child Support, Human Services and various other county, state and federal agencies. Pay weekly and monthly bills, prepare annual budgets, attend numerous county, district and state meetings, seminars, among other things.
