General Information

The Women, Infant and Children Program (WIC) provides food and nutrition information to help keep pregnant, breastfeeding and non-breastfeeding postpartum women, and infants and children up to age age 5 healthy and strong.

Women in the WIC Program eat better, have healthier babies and receive early prenatal care.

Infants born to WIC mothers weigh more and grow and develop better.

Children on WIC eat foods with more iron and vitamin C, visit their doctors regularly and receive immunizations.

WIC Provides:

  • Free nutritious foods
  • Practical nutrition and health tips
  • Breastfeeding information and support
  • Height and weight assessments
  • Iron screenings
  • Information about other community resources
  • Help with getting immunizations for your child
