General Information

Illnesses that spread to people are called communicable diseases.

Oconto County Public Health employees educate people and doctors on communicable diseases. They keep track of the number of cases of many communicable diseases in the county. This is important to know whether it is one case or if the disease has spread to others. If you have or think you have a communicable disease, Public Health employees will teach you how to take care of yourself, and also where to go for treatment.
