Medicine Drop Box
The Medicine Drop Box at the Sheriff's Office has been moved until further notice, due to construction. If you want to drop medicines, come during business hours, Monday through Frighday 8a-4p. See Brenda at the front window and she will assist you in disposing of your medicines, or you may use an alternate location.

You may place in the drop box, expired or unwanted prescriptions and medicine, vitamins and herbal medicines, pet medications, over the counter medicines, and inhalers and nebulizers.

The drop box is not for illegal drugs, sharps needles or syringes, non medical inhalers, mercury, diabetes monitors or supplies, commercial business or long-term care deposits.

When dropping medication off:
• Pills in bottles: take the pills out of the bottle and pour the pills directly into the drop box. Take the bottle with you and throw away elsewhere.
• Pills in blister packages: take the blister package out of the outside cardboard container, and drop the blister pack directly into the drop box. Throw away the outside cardboard container elsewhere.
• Liquids: Make sure the lid is closed tightly and place container in the drop box.
