Mission Statement

Promoting Healthy and Responsible Families.

The Health and Human Services Department is responsible for a vast array of services available to families, adults, and children that need assistance with mental health, substance abuse, and disability issues as well as the promotion of the health and safety of the whole community. In addition, through the application of State and Federal guidelines, the Department determines eligibility for the public benefit programs W-2, Food Share, Child Care, Energy Assistance, and Medical Assistance.

It is the policy of the Oconto County Department of Health and Human Services, 501 Park Avenue, Oconto, Wisconsin, 54153, to assure the equitable and accessible delivery of health and human services to the residents of Oconto County. No person shall be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or otherwise subjected to discrimination under any program or activity that receives or benefits from assistance through this department.
