Assists the Risk Management / Loss Control Committee in risk management efforts.
Evaluates insurance needs and recommends appropriate coverage in conjunction with the Finance / Insurance Committee.
Supervises bidding of insurance.

Maintains a copy of insurance policies
Ensures that coverage continues and is adjusted as necessary
Transmits claims against the county to the appropriate insurer to determine coverage.
