Eligibility & Benefits
Servicemembers who die while on active duty and veterans discharged under conditions other than dishonorable may be eligible for the following VA burial benefits:
- Burial in a VA national cemetery
- Government-furnished headstone or marker
- Presidential Memorial Certificate
- Burial flag
- In some cases, Reimbursement of burial expenses
