USDA-NRCS (Natural Resources Conservation Service) - The NRCS offers cost share assistance to farmers and landowners through the Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP). EQIP provides technical and financial help to landowners to implement conservation practices that protect soil and water quality. Manure storage, grassed waterways, barnyard runoff protection, nutrient management, and many other conservation practices are eligible for EQIP. In addition, EQIP also offers financial assistance for landowners to improve wildlife habitat on their property for projects such as: wildlife ponds, tree plantings, and windbreaks.
