Oconto County is seeking applications for a full time County Administrator. The County Administrator is the County’s chief administrative officer and carries out the duties and responsibilities set forth in section 59.18 of the Wisconsin Statutes. Please see link for complete job description.

Requires Bachelor’s a degree in public or business administration or related field; prefer Master’s degree with at least six years of progressively responsible administrative and leadership experience in a County or municipal organization(s). ICMA-CM certification a plus. Desire a strong background in budget development/long term financial planning, capital improvement and execution and strategic planning. The County Administrator serves as the Risk Manager for the County. The successful candidate should be a team builder, possess open and positive communication skills and have a collaborative leadership style. Integrity and a strong work ethic are essential.

Salary $116,000 to $124,000 based on qualifications plus a generous benefits package including participation in the Wisconsin Retirement System.
