General Information

Tooth decay affects children in the United States more than any other long term illness. Untreated tooth decay causes pain and infections that may lead to problems; such as eating, speaking, playing, and learning.

The good news is that tooth decay and other oral diseases that can affect children are preventable. The combination of dental sealants, fluoride and regular brushing can nearly eliminate tooth decay in children.

Oconto County Public Health partners with Superior Smiles Dental Program , which is a preventative school-based dental program offered to all children grades EC - 12. No charge for services. Call NorthLakes Community Clinic for more information: Clinic Phone: 888.834.4551 or (715) 276-6321.
