February 4, 2021 - Notice of Public Hearings - Board of Adjustment - February 24, 2021

Notice is hereby given that public hearings will be held by the Oconto County Board of Adjustment under the Oconto County Zoning Ordinance and/or the Oconto County Shoreland Protection Ordinance on February 24, 2021.

APPLICATION NO. 1 at 10:00 AM, or as soon thereafter as the Board may convene, at the Northern Zoning Office, 17181 Twin Pines Road, Lakewood, for Stephen and Kathleen Ryan, 2065 Sandalwood Court, Green Bay, WI  54304 for a variance to build closer to the centerline of the road, and for a variance to build closer to the ordinary high water mark.  Location of the property is in Section 32, T30N, R19E, Town of Brazeau, 9275 N. Kelly Lake Road.  (On-site inspection at 8:30 AM)

APPLICATION NO. 2 immediately following Application No. 1 at the Northern Zoning Office, 17181 Twin Pines Road, Lakewood for Peter and Nancy Dreher, 5129 Woodland Drive, Western Springs, IL  60558, Agent: Brannin Gries, for a variance to build closer to the centerline of the road, and for a variance to build closer to the ordinary high water mark.  Location of the property is in Section 3, T32N, R16E, Town of Riverview, 14547 N. Paya Lake Road.  (On-site inspection at 9:15 AM)

APPLICATION NO. 3 immediately following Application No. 2 at the Northern Zoning Office, 17181 Twin Pines Road, Lakewood for Peter and Kathryn Endries, 905 S. 31st Street, Manitowoc, WI  54220 for a variance to build closer to the side lot line, and for a variance to build closer to the centerline of the road.  Location of the property is in Section 22, T33N, R15E, Town of Townsend, 18062 Sunset Bay Lane.  (On-site inspection at 9:45 AM)

APPLICATION NO. 4 at 12:00 PM, or as soon thereafter as the Board may convene, at the Oconto County Courthouse, Conference Room 1003 and 1004, 301 Washington Street, Oconto,  for Mark Sylvester, N81 W22260 Katherine Court, Sussex, WI  53089, Agent: Steven Heimerman, for a variance to build  a retaining wall closer to both side lot lines,  closer to the centerline of the road, closer to the ordinary high water mark, and for a variance to reduce flood proofing fill requirements for elevating an existing dwelling to floodplain standards.  Location of the property is in Section 5, T27N, R22E, Town of Pensaukee, 4872 S. Bayshore Road.  (On-site inspection at 11:45 AM)

PLEASE NOTE:  Due to Covid concerns and the potential for restrictions in place at the time of the scheduled hearings, if limitations are imposed on the number of persons in large gatherings or any other Covid restriction that would make face to face meetings a public health safety concern, or in the case of inclement weather, the hearings will be held remotely using virtual media at the Oconto County Courthouse, Conference Rooms 1003 and 1004. No onsite inspections will then be held. Public hearings will then begin with Application # 1 at 8:45 am with all sequential applications immediately following the previous application. Should Covid restrictions be imposed, anyone wishing to offer oral testimony must register in advance.  To register contact the Planning & Zoning Department for instructions at 920-834-6827.  Written testimony may be submitted prior to the public hearing. To assure your testimony will be read into the record, the Oconto County Board of Adjustment encourages you to submit written testimony to the Zoning office 24 hours prior to the public hearing. Please submit written testimony via email at lwr@co.oconto.wi.us or by mail to Oconto County Board of Adjustment 301 Washington St. Oconto, WI 54153.  Further details of accessing the hearings via virtual media will be posted on the Oconto County website at www.co.oconto.wi.us

Notice is further given that printed copies of these proposals are available for public inspection in the Zoning Office, Courthouse, Oconto, Wisconsin during regular office hours. It is possible that a quorum of the Highway Committee may be present at the meeting, however, it is not intended that Highway Committee business will be conducted by the Board of Adjustment.
