November 16, 2020 - Notice of Public Hearings - Rezones - December 7, 2020

Notice is hereby given that the Oconto County Planning & Zoning Committee will hold public hearings on December 7, 2020 on the proposed redistricting of the following properties under the Oconto County Zoning Ordinance.

APPLICATION NO. 1 at 10:00 AM, or as soon thereafter as the Committee may convene, at the Little Suamico Town Hall for J J Wied, LLC, 1510 Brookfield Avenue, Green Bay, WI  54313, Agent: David Chrouser, to rezone from Agricultural with Quarry Overlay to Rural Residential District.  Location of the property is in Section 3, T26N, R19E, Town of Chase, 8264 Gohr Road.  (On-site inspection at 8:45 AM)

APPLICATION NO. 2 immediately following Application No. 1 at the Little Suamico Town Hall for Shane and Molly Dillon, 6315 County Road E, Abrams, WI  54101 to rezone from Forest with Conservancy Overlay to Forest District.  Location of the property is in Section 28, T27N, R20E, Town of Abrams, 6315 County Road E.  (On-site inspection at 9:15 AM)

APPLICATION NO. 3 immediately following Application No. 2 at the Little Suamico Town Hall for Lade Beach, LLC, 4075 Lade Beach Road, Little Suamico, WI  54141, Agent: David Chrouser to rezone from Forest District to Rural Residential District.  Location of the property is in Section 8, T26N, R21E, Town of Little Suamico, Lade Beach Road.  (On-site inspection at 9:30 AM)

APPLICATION NO. 4 immediately following Application No. 3 at the Little Suamico Town Hall for Joseph Corson, 6399 Allen Road, Sobieski, WI  54171 and Roy and Joyce Cartwright Trust, 6381 Allen Road, Sobieski, WI  54171 to rezone from Forest District, Rural Residential District and Agricultural District to Forest District, Location of the property is in Section 28, T26N, R20E, Town of Little Suamico, 6399 and 6381 Allen Road.  (On-site inspection at 9:45 AM)

APPLICATION NO. 5 at 11:15 AM, or as soon thereafter as the Committee may convene, at the Gillett Town Hall for Troy Frank, 10358 State Highway 22E, Gillett, WI  54124 to rezone from Residential Single Family District to General Commercial District.  Location of the property is in Section 14, T28N, R18E, Town of Gillett, 10358 State Highway 22E.  (On-site inspection at 11:00 AM)  The Planning & Zoning Committee, at its discretion may substitute a General Commercial (GC) district rezone with the Restricted Commercial RC) district or Neighborhood Commercial (NC) district based on consistency with the Oconto County Comprehensive Plan and information received during the public hearing.

APPLICATION NO. 6 at 1:30 PM or as soon thereafter as the Committee may convene at the Northern Zoning Office, 17181 Twin Pines Road, Lakewood for Brown Family Trust, 5721 Laurel Avenue, Lagrange, IL  60525, Agent: Tim Maurer, to rezone from Forest District to Residential Single Family District.  Location of the property is in Section 22, T33N, R16E, Town of Lakewood, 17883 W. Wheeler Lake Lane.  (On-site inspection at 1:15 PM)

PLEASE NOTE:  Due to Covid concerns and the potential for restrictions in place at the time of the scheduled hearings, if limitations are imposed on the number of persons in large gatherings or any other Covid restriction that would make face to face meetings a public health safety concern, the hearings will be held remotely using virtual media at the Oconto County Courthouse Room 1004. No onsite inspections will then be held. Public hearings will then begin with Application # 1 at 10:00 am with all sequential applications immediately following the previous application. Should Covid restrictions be imposed, anyone wishing to offer oral testimony must register in advance.  To register contact the Planning & Zoning Department for instructions at 920-834-6827.  Written testimony may be submitted prior to the public hearing. To assure your testimony will be read into the record, the Oconto County Planning & Zoning Department encourages you to submit written testimony to the Zoning office 24 hours prior to the December 7, 2020 public hearing. Notice is further given that printed copies of the proposed rezonings are available for public inspection in the Zoning Office, Courthouse, Oconto, Wisconsin during regular office hours.
