You are a caregiver if you provide the following for someone:

• Cash
• Medications
• Housekeeping
• Arranging services
• Assisting with bill payment
• Complete documents
• Personal care
• Home maintenance
• Grocery shopping
• Meals
• Driving

Powerful Tools for Caregivers is an educational program designed to provide you with the tools you need to take care of yourself. Classes consist of six, 2-hour class sessions held weekly.

You will learn to:
Reduce stress
Improve self-confidence
Better communicate your feelings
Balance your life
Increase your ability to make tough decisions
Locate helpful resources

We are targeting employed adult caregivers. Thus, we start with a light dinner. Please join us for a program that all past participants said they wished they had been to the program much, much earlier.

You will learn 25 caregiver tools which can enable you to be the best caregiver you can be. Even if you do not have a major caregiving role right now remember…

Dates: Tuesdays, October 8, 15, 22, 29; November 5, 12 (November 19 for inclement weather)
Registration Deadline: October 4th Time: 5:00 p.m. Light Supper - 5:30 – 8:00 p.m. Class
Location: Oconto County Courthouse, 301 Washington Street, Oconto WI 54153, (Conference Rm 1004, 1st Floor of Bldg A, Parking lot corner of Washington St/Arbutus Ave) Fee: $10.00 (payable to UW-Extension) which includes a $25 Helpbook.
