March 5, 2021 - Notice of Public Hearings - Board of Adjustments - March 24, 2021

Notice is hereby given that public hearings will be held by the Oconto County Board of Adjustment under the Oconto County Zoning Ordinance and/or the Oconto County Shoreland Protection Ordinance on March 24, 2021.

APPLICATION NO. 1 at 9:30 AM, or as soon thereafter as the Board may convene, at the Bagley Town Hall, 9812 County Road Z, Suring, for Marianna DeMyer, 5220 St. Patrick’s Road, Lena, WI  54139 for a variance to build closer to the ordinary high water mark.  Location of the property is in Section 19, T28N, R18E, Town of Gillett, 11810 County Road U  (On-site inspection at 8:30 AM)

APPLICATION NO. 2 immediately following Application No. 1 at the Bagley Town Hall for Scott Thomson, 8706 Lee Lake Road, Pound, WI  54161 for a Conditional Use Permit to operate a quarry.  Location of the property is in Section 13, T30N, R19E, Town of Bagley, 9744 County Road Z.  (On-site inspection at 9:15 AM)

APPLICATION NO. 3 at 11:15 AM, or as soon thereafter as the Board may convene, at the Northern Zoning Office, 17181 Twin Pines Road, Lakewood for James & Patricia Kaliska, W7057 Dama Road, Phillips, WI  54555 for a Conditional Use Permit for a home older than 15 years.  Location of the property is in Section 21, T31N, R15E, Town of Doty, 17250 Boulder Lake Lane.  (On-site inspection at 10:30 AM)

APPLICATION NO. 4 immediately following Application No. 3 at the Northern Zoning Office, 17181 Twin Pines Road, Lakewood for a continued hearing for Peter and Nancy Dreher, 5129 Woodland Avenue, Western Springs, IL 60558, Agent: Brannin Gries for a variance to build closer to the centerline of the road, and for a variance to build closer to the ordinary high water mark.  Location of the property is in Section 3, T32N, R16E, Town of Riverview, 14547 N. Paya Lake Road.  No on-site inspection necessary.

APPLICATION NO. 5  immediately following Application No. 4 at the Northern Zoning Office, 17181 Twin Pines Road, Lakewood for Brad Radish, W7409 Red Hawk Drive, Appleton, WI  54914 for a variance to build closer to the centerline of the road.  Location of the property is in Section 11, T33N, R15E, Town of Townsend, 18651 Spring Lake Road.  (On-site inspection at 10:45 AM)

APPLICATION NO. 6 immediately following Application No. 5 at the Northern Zoning Office, 17181 Twin Pines Road, Lakewood for John Rusch, 16729 Nicolet Road, Townsend, WI  54175, Agent: Ryan Beaber, for a Conditional Use Permit for storage buildings.  Location of the property is in Section 23, T33N, R15E, Town of Townsend, 17932 Hill Avenue.  (On-site inspection at 11:00 AM)

PLEASE NOTE:  Due to Covid concerns and the potential for restrictions in place at the time of the scheduled hearings, if limitations are imposed on the number of persons in large gatherings or any other Covid restriction that would make face to face meetings a public health safety concern, or in the case of inclement weather, the hearings will be held remotely using virtual media at the Oconto County Courthouse, Conference Rooms 1003 and 1004. No onsite inspections will then be held. Public hearings will then begin with Application # 1 at 8:45 am with all sequential applications immediately following the previous application. Should Covid restrictions be imposed, anyone wishing to offer oral testimony must register in advance.  To register contact the Planning & Zoning Department for instructions at 920-834-6827.  Written testimony may be submitted prior to the public hearing. To assure your testimony will be read into the record, the Oconto County Board of Adjustment encourages you to submit written testimony to the Zoning office 24 hours prior to the public hearing. Please submit written testimony via email at lwr@co.oconto.wi.us or by mail to Oconto County Board of Adjustment 301 Washington St. Oconto, WI 54153.  Further details of accessing the hearings via virtual media will be posted on the Oconto County website at www.co.oconto.wi.us

Notice is further given that printed copies of these proposals are available for public inspection in the Zoning Office, Courthouse, Oconto, Wisconsin during regular office hours. It is possible that a quorum of the Highway Committee may be present at the meeting, however, it is not intended that Highway Committee business will be conducted by the Board of Adjustment.
