January 7, 2021 - Notice of Public Hearings - Board of Adjustments - January 27, 2021

Notice is hereby given that public hearings will be held by the Oconto County Board of Adjustment under the Oconto County Zoning Ordinance and/or the Oconto County Shoreland Protection Ordinance on January 27, 2021.

APPLICATION NO. 1 at 9:00 AM, or as soon thereafter as the Board may convene, at the Northern Zoning Office, 17181 Twin Pines Road, Lakewood for Dale VanPatten, 2394 S. 93rd Street, West Allis, WI  53227 for a variance to build closer to the centerline of the road, and for a variance to build closer to the ordinary high water mark.  Location of the property is in Section 23, T33N, R15E, Town of Townsend, 17765 Fernwood Drive.  (On-site inspection at 8:30 AM)

APPLICATION NO. 2 immediately following Application No. 1 at the Northern Zoning Office, 17181 Twin Pines Road, Lakewood for Todd Rautman, 214 S. Hills Court, Plymouth, WI  53073, Agent:  Harry Smith for a variance to build closer to the ordinary high water mark, and a variance to build closer to the centerline of the road.  Location of the property is in Section 27, T33N, R15E, Town of Townsend, 17634 Canary Lane.  (On-site inspection at 8:45 AM)

APPLICATION NO. 3 at 11:15 AM, or as soon thereafter as the Board may convene, at the Gillett Town Hall for a continued hearing for Francis Breuninger, 10152 Cherry Road, Pound, WI  54161 for a variance to build closer to the centerline of the road.  Location of the property is in Section 30, T30N, R19E, Town of Brazeau, 10152 Cherry Road.  (On-site inspection at 10:15 AM)

APPLICATION NO. 4 immediately following Application No. 3 at the Gillett Town Hall for Bret Schaal, 7690 Fifield Road, Gillett, WI  54124 for a Conditional Use Permit to continue to operate a quarry.  Location of the property is in Section 3, T28N, R18E, Town of Gillett, 10705 Valley Line Road.  (On-site inspection at 10:45 AM)

APPLICATION NO. 5 immediately following Application No. 4 at the Gillett Town Hall for Troy Frank, Jr., 10358 State Highway 22E, Gillett, WI  54124 for a Conditional Use Permit for an auto repair/auto body shop.  Location of the property is in Section 14, T28N,R18E, Town of Gillett, 10358 State Highway 22-32.  (On-site inspection at 11:00 AM)

PLEASE NOTE:  Due to Covid concerns and the potential for restrictions in place at the time of the scheduled hearings, if limitations are imposed on the number of persons in large gatherings or any other Covid restriction that would make face to face meetings a public health safety concern, the hearings will be held remotely using virtual media at the Oconto County Courthouse, Conference Rooms 1003 and 1004. No onsite inspections will then be held. Public hearings will then begin with Application # 1 at 8:45 am with all sequential applications immediately following the previous application. Should Covid restrictions be imposed, anyone wishing to offer oral testimony must register in advance.  To register contact the Planning & Zoning Department for instructions at 920-834-6827.  Written testimony may be submitted prior to the public hearing. To assure your testimony will be read into the record, the Oconto County Board of Adjustment encourages you to submit written testimony to the Zoning office 24 hours prior to the public hearing. Please submit written testimony via email at lwr@co.oconto.wi.us or by mail to Oconto County Board of Adjustment 301 Washington St. Oconto, WI 54153.  Further details of accessing the hearings via virtual media will be posted on the Oconto County website at www.co.oconto.wi.us

Notice is further given that printed copies of these proposals are available for public inspection in the Zoning Office, Courthouse, Oconto, Wisconsin during regular office hours. It is possible that a quorum of the Highway Committee may be present at the meeting, however, it is not intended that Highway Committee business will be conducted by the Board of Adjustment.
