The Northern Pike is Wisconsin's 2nd largest predator fish and is an important part of the Bay of Green Bay ecosystem. Northern Pike population has been decreasing in the Bay of Green Bay due to wetland spawning habitat losses.
Oconto County has received funding from a Natural Resource Damage Assessment Grant to restore Northern Pike spawning habitat funding through 2020.
Anyone interested in participating or for more information please contact the Oconto County Land & Water Conservation Department.
