Relating to Insurance/Risk Management
Assists the Risk Management/Loss Control Committee in risk management efforts.
Evaluates insurance needs and recommends appropriate coverage in conjunction with the Finance/Insurance Committee.
Supervises bidding of insurance.
Administers the county insurance programs including:
1. Maintains a copy of insurance policies
2. Ensures that coverage continues and is adjusted as necessary
3. Transmits claims against the county to the appropriate insurer to determine coverage.
4. Submits and monitors claims by the county for payment.
